Hir Institute for Research is a policy think tank that focuses on the following areas of
Organizing and convening policy dialogue
Publishing and demonstrating policy briefs
Capacity building for development research and programming
Economic, social, and governance research and policy
Undertaking action research and policy studies.
Bridging research and Capacity
The specific objectives of HIR are to:
- Conduct high-quality and objective economic, social, and governance research and policy analysis;
- Distribute research outputs and results;
- Build the professional competence and capacity of Somaliland’s research and beneficiary institutions in economic, social, and governance policy analysis and research
- Respond to the research and policy needs of the government and the economy from short-, medium-, and long-term perspectives;
- Serve as an effective platform for knowledge dissemination, exchange, and dialogue.
